I have always seen Tony Roma's branches everywhere... and this is not my first time trying out their food actually. But its been such a long time and they even changed their menu. Let's see what Midvalley's Tony Roma's has to offer...
For those who don't know what kind of a restaurant Tony Roma's is (note the grammar mistake, but grammatically, its still correct because its a name. Paradox!), it is very similiar to TGI Friday's which serves western food, but they are much more focused on beef. Lots of beef. So beef lovers, here is definitely your place..... maybe, I don't know, 'cause I can't eat beef myself being a devout Chinese. So let's see what non-beef lovers can enjoy over here...
Complimentary Bread - Free
The bread is not bad, just a bit too hard. They could have at least cut the bread into a few pieces to make it easier for everyone. The garlic spread goes well with the bread too, but again, the raw garlic is a bit too strong for my taste.
Bottomless Drinks (Cranberry) - RM8.90
The cranberry juice is quite sour. I would recommend the orange juice which tastes great.
Potato Skins - RM14.90
I like this dish very much. It is crispy and tastes great with the not-so-sour-ish sour cream. I just had to spend lots of time picking out those bacon pieces... bit, by bit.. by bit.
Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Chicken - RM34.90
I highly recommend this. The chicken is grilled just nice and topped with some great BBQ sauce. The portion is quite big though as it comes with rice. But I can't help thinking that this is one fancy western-style chicken rice! Maybe if it came with mashed potatoes, that would be great.
Shrimp Scampi Pasta - RM31.90
The menu stated "A generous portion of shrimp...", and they're not kidding. It feels like they put in a full kg of shrimp into this pasta. Everywhere you dig, you just find endless pieces of shrimp. The pasta though is not like your regular red sauce pasta. This is the first time I have tasted this kind of pasta, and I would say that some may like it, some might not like it at all. It depends, I find that the pasta is good, just that a little less fresh basil leafs would be better.
