My stomach wasn't feeling very well recently, that's why I was actively searching for vegetarian restaurants for some milder food, and I came to Sweet Garden Vegetarian Restaurant which was recommended by my friend. It is located in Kelana Jaya SS6, near to the old Giant supermarket along the newly developed shop houses (same row with Speedmart 99). For those who are not familiar with this area, you surely wouldn't know this vegetarian restaurant that actually serves great food at a decent price. It is suitable for family style dining or just a casual meal with your friends.
They also sell some organic foodstuffs too.
Let's look at what they have to offer:
Nasi Kandar (印度黄饭) - RM6
Honestly I was surprised when I saw that they offered a mix of Indian and Chinese food. The nasi kandar is a highly recommended dish, I mean, it's pretty hard to find a nasi kandar with 3 dishes that costs only RM6 in Klang Valley. I'll definitely be back for more of this...
Oriental Fried Rice (杨州炒饭) - RM6
Their oriental fried rice is pretty standard, tastes good nonetheless. Lots of vege and carrots, great for vege lovers.
Sweet and Sour Vegetarian Spare Ribs Rice (排骨王饭) - RM6
This dish is the marmite spare ribs rice which you can find in many places. It tastes great, but maybe a little too sweet for some people... I still like it though, and they did a very convincing job to fool you that you're eating real spare ribs. Great job!
Besides these individual dishes, you can order many other ala-carte dishes for family style dining. As far as I know, many people come here for dinner as well, and I heard that their ala-carte dishes are quite good too. I'll be back to review more of the restaurant when I have the chance.
