Every girls dream about living happily ever after in the palace with their prince charming, so do I when I was young. Since I moved to KL until now, I have never visit to our Malaysia King's Palace's gate before, not even stop by to snap photo. Most of the time, I passed by with a feeling of admire, admire those people living in the big palace with maids and driver serving them. Now, we have the chance to visit the Palace, we no longer have to stand outside snap photos or watch the changing of guards.
Due to the new palace in Jalan Duta, our Agong have moved to the new place, they are now opening the old palace to public. Early of this year, they have open it with free admission for everyone until 15th Jun 2012. I guess I did not get the news until recently.
Anyway, ticket counter is placed just after we walked in from the entrance. Just get your ticket and you are in.
Here is the ticket charges:
Ticket price wasn't that expensive, only RM2 for Malaysian and RM5 for foreign visitor.
The long long road leading to the palace. It wasn't very far, just a 2 minutes walk.
Arrival to the palace where you will see a water fountain. In front of the building, there is a huge empty field. It is just like those Palace in British with big garden in front of the building.
This is part of the Palace where we are not allow to visit. At first, I thought we are allow to visit the whole Palace including the dinning hall, bedroom and the living room. However, I am a bit disappointed after I knew that we are only allow to visit the hall they used for the King's Installation. It is only 1/4 of the whole Palace or maybe less.
If I am not mistaken, this should be the main door of the palace, I spotted big curtain at the side and a big hall with some English style furnitures through the glass.
Here is the road leading to the exhibition hall. No shoes are allowed in the hall.
The main entrance to the exhibition hall. The exhibition is held to introduce Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV and Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong to the people in conjunction with His Majesty's installation ion December 13, 2011.
Here is some of the uniforms that the King wore before for some special events and other collection of his like watches, camera and etc.
This is the place the installation take place where the King and the Queen will sit during the whole ceremony.
